Purification
Maharajji Kripalu writes that the sixth of the seven
steps to God realization is purification: complete
purification of the heart.
How does one purify the heart, and why is this
important?
Maharajji Kripalu instructs that humble and constant
devotions are the way to purify one's heart. Through this
gradual process of purification, confidence grows and one
will begin to feel the closeness of Radha Krishn. With
closeness, longing for Divine vision increases. A time will
come when all the worldly attractions cease to exist in
one's mind and all that will remain is love and an intense
selfless longing God at all time, synonymous with Divine
visions. This is the state of heart purification, desirable
because one can move beyond the world of illusory happiness
to a more eternal state of being and communion.
